This handy kit is the perfect kit to test oil for use in the BioPro Automated Biodiesel Processors. Handy and extremely simple to use, these kits can easily be used when hunting for good oil sources.
Each vial is pre-set to just the right amount so all you do is add a sample of oil, shake, and check the color. If it stays purple, you can use the oil to make biodiesel. If it changes color you need to reconsider before using the oil.
Set at a maximum of 5% Free Fatty Acid Content, these tests also will work with other processors. The test kit comes with instructions for converting the results into a standard titration test.
Easy Instructions:
*Take a 1 ml sample of the feedstock
*Add this to one of the pre-measured Go/No-Go vials
*Shake vigorously for 10 seconds
*If the sample stays purple, it is a Go. Make sure that the oil is free of water and particulates before processing in your machine.
*If the sample turns yellow, it is a No-Go, the FFA (free fatty acid) level is higher than is recommended for processing in a BioPro Automated Processor.
